Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology II
Low-cost, host-based RAID solution standard on all Intel® Xeon® processor 5000
sequence-based server boards. Intel® Embedded RAID comes at no additional charge
and doesn’t require a PCI slot. Host-based RAID uses the server board chipset,
processors, and memory to provide basic RAID functionality.

Intel® Integrated Server RAID
Unique system boards that provide a high-value alternative to standard RAID add-in
